We have two different software applications for SmartHubs, tailored for specific use cases: the to-go case for transporting, and the on-site case for warehouses.
Mobile SmartHubs are best suited for to-go use cases involving transportation. The SmartHubs mobile are LTE-connected and measure several parameters of the SmartHub itself. Up to 20 nearby TempBeacons can be reliably handled. Optimized for long runtime on battery. Works only with GSM/LTE. The mobile SmartHub transmits the measured data to the cloud at specified intervals. The device connects periodically and transfers the collected data. The display of the mobile usage shows the serial number of Beacons along with their measured temperatures that were read out.
Stationary SmartHubs are best suited for on-site use in warehouses. The SmartHub stationary can optionally use WiFi as Uplink. Smarthub primarily serves as a beacon gateway (approx. 100 beacons) with low data latency. Permanent power supply required. Works with WiFi preferred (configurable) and GSM/LTE (redundancy). The stationary SmartHub is constantly online and uploads its data points to the cloud immediately. Since it is permanently connected, the data transmission occurs immediately after collection. The display for stationary usage shows no Beacon serial numbers, only the successful connection to GSM/LTE and the measured temperature and humidity from the SmartHub itself. The data from the Beacons are visible in the Tec4Cloud.
