How does the data transfer of the Beacons take place?

Data transmission is handled in two steps. The Beacon communicates via a secure 2.4 GHz connection with the SmartHub. From there, the data is forwarded to Tec4Cloud either via the wireless mobile network (available in over 170 countries) or via Wi-Fi.

In addition, the Tec4App enables direct Beacon readout. Stored data can be accessed from the Beacon’s internal memory and uploaded to Tec4Cloud when needed.

P.S.: The maximum line-of-sight range of the 2.4 GHz connection is approximately 50 meters. However, actual performance may vary depending on the environment and should always be validated at the customer’s site. Factors such as walls, obstacles, and other sources of interference can significantly affect the connection range.
